Board of Trustees

Overview
The Trustees have responsibility for financial, legal and capital concerns including proposing and monitoring the annual budget, conducting pledge campaigns, monitoring investments, overseeing an annual audit, attending to personnel concerns and real estate matters.

Term: Four-year term; members may serve two consecutive terms.

Meetings: Once per month on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

Communication: Largely by email.

Retreats: Leadership day, normally held in October.

Desired Characteristics: Managing budgets, accounting and financial reporting, investments, real estate or property management, marketing and communications and human resources. It's also important to have people with leadership experience who frequently have some of the other skills. Leadership experience can be used to advise the senior minister on various decisions and to lead committees of the trustees and the board itself.

Qualifications: Active member of Plymouth.
