CARING FOR CREATION (Family friendly) -- Work to build a sustainable planet. Members maintain Plymouth's wildflower rain garden, assist with the annual Sustainable Living Fair and support Plymouth's organic recycling effort.
DOWNTOWN CONGREGATIONS TO END HOMELESSNESS (DCEH) -- Be an Advocate and receive regular email alerts on legislation or join the team and help plan interfaith education forums with the Downtown Congregations to End Homelessness.
DROP-IN CENTER -- Offer hospitality at Plymouth for a program of social recreation for adults with mental illness. Wednesdays, 1:00-3:00 p.m., and Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Need: Hosts for refreshments, field trips, conversation and Bingo prizes.

FRIENDS OF PLYMOUTH CHURCH NEIGHBORHOOD FOUNDATION -- Mentor youth or collect items for residents at the new Nicollet Square housing for Homeless Youth, assist with Night on the Street fundraiser to help end homelessness on April 15, 2011.
GROVELAND EMERGENCY FOOD SHELF (Family friendly) -- Stock shelves, pick up and deliver food, or host a party in your home to raise funds to serve those who are hungry in our neighborhood. Located at Plymouth. Open: Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY -- Physical work to build and restore homes for families with limited income or disabilities. Oct. 18-22. Need: people with energy to paint, repair and construct, and to provide food for volunteers.
LYDIA APARTMENTS CONNECTIONS -- Work to build partnership between Plymouth and Lydia Apartment residents. Help plan the Holiday Food Baskets in November or collection for Lydia Closet in the spring.
MEALS ON WHEELS -- Partner with a current driver to deliver hot meals Thursdays to homebound people in the Loring-Nicollet area, 11:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. once a month or every other month.
NEIGHBORHOOD CONNECTIONS (Family friendly) -- Join family friendly, one time activities such as Clean Sweep, Block Patrol, Pride Parade, Red Hot Arts Festival and World of Whittier Celebration.
PLYMOUTH SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS -- One on One, one hour, once a week: Volunteer to tutor or share musical skills at Whittier International School for the Arts, our neighborhood school! Kids speak over 20 languages and many are from low-income families.
RESTORATIVE JUSTICE -- Community members affected by crime meet face-to-face with court-screened offenders to discuss the impact of their crime and how they can best give back to the neighborhood. Need: Participants for weeknight 2 hour conferences.
SIMPSON PARTNERS (Family friendly) -- Plan activities to connect with Simpson Housing Services, a homeless shelter that provides transitional housing services. Need: Serve an evening meal or work an overnight shift in the shelter. Training provided.
THIRD SUNDAY MEAL (Family friendly) -- Serve a free hot meal to 300 guests in our dining room. Third Sunday of each month, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
