The Rev. Dr. Paula Northwood

Paula Northwood received her Master of Divinity in Christian Education from the Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Indiana in 1982. After 10 years of service to the denomination, she was ordained. She transferred her ordination to the UCC after receiving her Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary in 1998.

Paula joined the Plymouth clergy in 2003. She oversees Religious Education and Spiritual Enrichment for children, youth and adults.

Paula’s work history includes employment as Minister of Christian Education for Children and Youth at Judson Memorial Baptist Church in south Minneapolis in 1998-2003; Project Director for Faith in Action in St. Paul in 1996-98; Co-Pastor for the Faith Mennonite Church in Minneapolis in 1992-95; and Director of Youth Education and Service for North America for the General Conference Mennonite Church in Kansas in 1982-91. In that position she developed curriculum, trained teachers and conducted youth programs nationally and in Canada.

Paula lives in St. Paul with her life partner, Andrea. She has an adult daughter, Kristin Grant, who lives in Duluth with her husband and two daughters.
