Spirituality and Healing

This is a small group offered by the Board of Member Care. Co-facilitated by Catherine Crooks, Minister for Member Care, and Vicki Haugen and Mary Baker, Volunteer Parish Nurses, this group is designed for Plymouth members and friends living with chronic pain or persistent illness of body or mind, including those living with addictions.

Through readings, prayer, simple ritual and sharing insights gleaned through the lived experience of chronic illness, participants reflect on the interplay between faith and chronic illness. For example, How does a body in pain inform our understanding of the nature of God?  How does our understanding/ experience of sacred community strengthen us in times of mental anguish and dis-ease?

If you live with chronic illness and are longing to share your journey with others, please join us on the first Tuesday evening of each month in the Parsons Room.

For more information or to register, contact Catherine Crooks at 612/977-1286 or cathiec@plymouth.org.
