Home & Hospital Visits

All Plymouth’s ministers call upon members of the church in their homes, in hospitals or care and rehabilitation centers. If you know of someone who’d like a visit from a minister, call Cathie Crooks, Minister for Visitation (ext. 286).

Also, members of the church call on homebound members. The Visitors program helps create mutually beneficial relationships between volunteer Visitors and members of the Plymouth community unable to fully participate in Plymouth activities. Visitors are generally assigned to a meet with a Plymouth member for a period of one year, though many deep friendships have extended for years. The Visitors see Plymouth members in nursing homes, private homes or any environment mutually agreed on by the Visitor and member. To receive or become a Visitor, contact Cathie Crooks at the church.

The BeFriender Ministry is a listening ministry designed to provide support for Plymouth members in need of support for life transitions, grief, loss or difficult life situations. If you wish to be connected to a supportive BeFriender in a confidential relationship or if you’re interested in the training program to become a BeFriender, contact Jeffrey Sartain (ext. 274) or Cathie Crooks (ext. 286) at the church.

The Flower Program is responsible for the weekly distribution of sanctuary flowers to members of the congregation who are celebrating a special occasion (birthday or anniversary), grieving a loss, or recovering from an illness or hospitalization. To suggest someone to receive flowers, contact Danielle Kurtzleben (ext. 268).

Care Baskets are meant for those who have serious or terminal illnesses as an expression of compassion from Plymouth, delivered by the ministers. Please let one of the ministers know if you, a family member or friend is experiencing a serious or terminal illness. To find out what items are typically included that can be donated or to help assemble baskets, contact Cathie Crooks (ext. 286).
