Some say this is the most important election for Minneapolis in decades. If so, it’s in large part because of the three amendments that are on the ballot for the November 2nd election. Early voting already began on September 17, but voters are still weighing the pros and cons of the three amendments: Ballot Question #1 (10.14.21) on Government Structure, Ballot Question #2 (10.07.21) on Public Safety Reform and Ballot Question #3 (09.30.21) on Rent Stabilization.
Since there are still many questions as well as confusion and controversy about them, Plymouth’s Reimagining Community Safety committee of its Racial Justice Initiative is hosting three Zoom discussions to explore these three individual matters that are before the voters. Minneapolis is a major engine for the Twin Cities region and all of Minnesota. No matter where you live and vote, we think you will find these livestreamed events informative, inspiring and balanced.
Ballot Question #2 Public Safety Reform, Thursday, October 7, from 7 – 8 p.m. JaNae’ Bates, Director of Communications, Yes4Mpls, and Sondra Samuels, President & CEO, Northside Achievement Zone.
