Where: The Parking Lot and Jones Commons
Wear a fun costume, bring your treat bag, and come join us for an evening Halloween party. We will be playing spooky music, have pizza and apples for dinner, make some art for a Dia de Los Muertos altar with Sandy Spieler, have a costume parade, and trunk or treat in the parking lot.
But, we need your help!
We are hoping to have at least 15 cars participating in Trunk or Treat so we are asking our church community to volunteer to host a trunk!
It is simple. Read this to learn more about what Trunk or Treating actually is.
Then, decide how you are going to decorate your car. You can DIY something (I’ve included a few ideas above), or purchase premade decor kits! If you all dress in costume to match your car, it’s even more fun!
Pick an activity to run at your car. Again, you can bring your own (a fish pond, hopscotch drawn on the ground with glow in the dark chalk, a bean bag toss, etc.) or I have games here you can borrow.
Purchase treats to hand out–plan for 50 kids. We will have a variety of non-candy treats here, so you can purchase whatever sugary snack your heart desires and kids who can’t eat candy can trade it in for treats I have on hand!
Friends, neighbors, book clubs, fellowship groups–sign up to host a trunk TOGETHER!
