An Introduction to Trans-Inclusive Theology and Community Practices Workshop – May 31
Dr. Miche van Essen of Transmission Ministry is conducting a workshop at St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Minnetonka on Saturday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. called An Introduction to Trans-Inclusive Theology & Community Practices.
In this all-day program, Dr. Van Essen will lead us in reflection and learning:

How faith communities can step into deep, truthful solidarity with our transgender and gender-expansive siblings

An introduction to gender-expansive intersectional theology

Practical guidance, policies, and structures to create welcoming and affirming environments for transgender and gender-expansive congregants

Engage with the history of anti-trans theology in the Church, foundational biblical passages for LGBTQ+ affirming theology, and the importance of moving beyond apologetics.

Become empowered to implement meaningful changes in our communities of faith.
