Celebrating Sana DelCorazon’s Next Step Toward Ordination!
The Covenant and Discernment Committee at Plymouth accompanies and supports our Members in Discernment (MIDs) — those exploring and preparing for authorized ministry in the United Church of Christ. Part of this journey includes an Ecclesiastical Council, a gathering of representatives from churches in the wider UCC to hear a candidate’s story, ask questions, and together discern readiness for ministry.
Recently, one of Plymouth’s MIDs, Sana DelCorazon, held her Ecclesiastical Council at Living Table Church in Minneapolis. We are overjoyed to share that the Council unanimously voted to approve Sana for ordination, pending a call. This is a significant and joy-filled milestone, and we celebrate with Sana as she moves toward serving the church in ordained ministry.
In attendance from Plymouth were committee members Rev. Mary Kay Sauter, Karen Barstad, and Kelly Hugunin, Plymouth member and Covenant Partner Rev. Chris Bohnhoff, Plymouth’s Director of Congregational Care and current MID (Member in Discernment), Birdie Cunningham, and Plymouth Member and MID, Chris Duff, who joined via Zoom as he resides in Washington, DC.
Congratulations to Sana!
