Interim Ministry Survey Update and Sunday Forum – 2/8 at 10 AM

Join us for a special Sunday Forum on Sunday, February 8, at 10, JT will share an update on the interim period, followed by a question-and-answer session.

The Interim Ministry Team thanks everyone who responded in person and in writing to our survey and to our tabling in December. We have diverse perspectives and seek a common link. These include belonging in community, with each other, and our neighbors

We received written feedback from over thirty friends and members of Plymouth, and spoke with approximately fifty of you. The IMT has reviewed and listened to your responses and believes they are representative of our community. We found the responses to be diverse and thoughtful. The results fell into several categories: Staff. Building and Revenue. Program. Stewardship. Spirituality. Dreams and Desires. Questions.

We will refer the ideas to the Plymouth groups most responsible for the suggested areas. For example, suggestions regarding worship will be referred to the Board of Worship, whose staff liaison is Rev. JT Smiedendorf. Suggestions for raising revenue will be referred to the Board of Finance and Dr. David Langemo.

Responses to questions about this interim period will be shared in the Friday email and in various governing group meetings. , striving for deeper spiritual meaning, and listening to each other more deeply. We believe Plymouth is critical to how our families and we live our lives; however, that is revealed to us. During this interim period, we recognize both the anxiety to have answers and move on, and the need for patience as our future together emerges.

We value your ongoing thoughts and ideas. Please continue to share them with your elected church leaders and with us.
