Two invitations to connect with the farm ministry in the coming weeks. The 2026 season is underway – come grow with us! Live far from the farm? Forward this to a Minnesota friend…
Invitation #1
Come learn the spiritual art of pruning 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21, at Good Courage Farm
The weather will be unusually warm this weekend! (Ugh, climate change…) Since it’s too early to clean up your own yard (think of the pollinators!) or start your own pot of tomatoes (last frost is end of May, remember!), come enjoy the 70 degrees here at Good Courage!
Every Saturday, our agrarian ministry hosts “faith farmation” gatherings. We invite you to roll up your sleeves, don muck boots, and join a community of kindred spirits in tending soil, trees, and spirit together.
March is pruning season. On the 21st, we’ll be tending to the fruit trees and grapevines. No experience is needed—just a willingness to learn and lend a hand. We weave learning and prayer into our work, singing and laboring side by side for a few hours in the morning and afternoon. We share good conversation, sung prayer, and a noonday meal along the way.
The good food we harvest is shared with neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Come this once or come often through the seasons ahead.. Discover how caring for the land can deepen your faith and root you more firmly in hope.
RSVP for March 21 Farm Stewards!
Invitation #2
Come Bless the Fields Saturday, April 25, as we celebrate Rogation at Good Courage Farm
Each year on April 25, our Anglican tradition marks the feast known as Major Rogation. This is a time set aside by the Church to pray over field, seed, and laborer, asking for God’s blessing on the growing season ahead. Come join us at Good Courage on Saturday, 4/25, from 10:00 a.m. until noon. We’ll make a procession around the farm, singing and praying over orchards, vineyards, animals, and people. Bring seeds from home, and we’ll ask God’s blessing on them and on your own garden. The 45-minute procession is followed by tea and cake in the barnyard, plus opportunities to learn about the farm, its creatures, and its ministry.
Golf carts will join the procession to offer transportation to those with mobility needs. Children are welcome and will be given liturgical roles! RSVPs are encouraged at the link below. Please carpool if you’re coming from a distance to minimize fossil fuel use.
We look forward to welcoming you to the farm! RSVP here to Bless the Fields.
