Simpson Housing Services
Since our beginnings in 1982 in the basement of Simpson United Methodist Church, Simpson has become a leading nonprofit providing assistance to people experiencing homelessness. In response to unmet community needs, our services have grown to include five critical programs: emergency shelter, supportive housing programs for youth, single adults, and families – along with developmental and educational services for children of families in our Family Housing Program.
As a Volunteer
Volunteer activity remains to be established in post-COVID operations. The Homeless Memorial March, Service, and Meal will take place on the evening of December 16. The march is typically from City Hall in Minneapolis to Plymouth. We love Plymouth participants joining in the march. The memorial service and meal take place at Plymouth. We need 15-20 volunteers to welcome guests and staff at the Sanctuary and to help with food service.
