Third Sunday

Third Sunday Meal
On the third Sunday each month, community neighbors in need can count on the hospitality of volunteers at Plymouth Congregational Church for a hot, nutritious, and tasty meal.  In addition, guests find a safe, welcoming place where they are treated with dignity.  There’s a chaplain and a health care professional to answer questions and suggest how guests may find additional assistance.  There’s also a bike repair clinic, a table with free items like hats, socks, and soap, and another table with information about community resources.  Guests arrive between 5-6 p.m.

As a Volunteer

All volunteer tasks center on creating an enjoyable evening for our guests.  Volunteers interact with guests – sharing stories, serving food, distributing everyday necessities, repairing bikes, and more.

Third Sunday Meal is a program of Plymouth Congregational Church. Our downtown church partners (Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, and Westminster Presbyterian Church) provide meals on the other Sundays.
