Now Available: Recording of Plymouth’s October 19th Congregational Convening

Our congregation has arrived at a critical moment. Those of us leading this time of transition would like to share our reflections on the gifts and challenges of this moment, in hopes that, together, we might discern where the Spirit of Love is leading us.

The Campus Task Force, commissioned by the Deacons, has presented us with an important expression of our mission. They’ve asked, “Who is God calling Plymouth to be, in this building, in this neighborhood, at this moment in time? How might we live more deeply into the church’s Purposes — to humbly seek and serve God within, among, and beyond ourselves?” We commend to you the recently released Campus Task Force 2.0 report.

The Five Year Plan Workgroup, commissioned by the Board of Finance and Administration, is modeling the long-term challenge of Financial Sustainability, and how well we are performing against our five-year commitment to reduce annual withdrawals from Plymouth’s commingled funds.

Embracing and understanding the polarity between “mission” and “margin” was the topic of two congregational convenings on October 19 and October 26.    You can watch the October 19 meeting below.
